Planned Downtime: 14-09-2013

The main SUCS server, silver, is being moved to new hardware this weekend. This means that most SUCS services, including any websites hosted by us, are offline until the upgrade is completed.

The new server has been set up, and most services seem to be working. Over the last few days, user data has been copied from our backups to the new server in order to minimise the amount of data that needed to be transferred today. We are currently copying any user data that has changed since the early hours of the 14th - including email stored in folders other than your inbox. There is also some data that isn't normally backed up that has to be copied over.
As soon as the remaining emails and user data have been copied over we will re-enable websites, email and other SUCS services.

Outpost is our alternative Milliways instance, and may be accessed by opening an ssh connection to outpost.sucs.org, using the username bbs, password bbs. You will then be able to login to Milliways using your Milliways credentials or by creating a temporary account.
