Armed police target student district in manhunt

SOUTH Wales Police have launched an appeal, after armed officers were deployed in the search for a suspect in Brynmill.

Police were called to King Edwards Road just after 2pm on Monday following reports of a theft from a motor vehicle in Caswell Street.

Armed officers were deployed to “ensure the safety of the public and officers at the scene” said a South Wales Police spokesperson.

An appeal has now been launched for the suspect, a man in his 40s, of gaunt appearance who had a dog with him.
