NUS Women’s Campaign is on tour! Delivering workshops around the UK this month to a handful of campuses. Our campus is one of their stops, so a couple of the NUS Women’s national committee members will be coming to facilitate an I Heart Consent workshop.

The aim of this workshop to enable students to:

Learn about the importance of sexual consent

Combat rape culture and victim-blaming

Learn how to create a positive consent culture

NUS Women’s campaign workshops are only open to all who self-define as women, including (if they wish) those with complex gender identities which include ‘woman’, and those who experience oppression as women.

The event will be holding place on the 24th of February in Seminar room 3 from 6pm to 8pm! Do come with plenty of time as the workshop only holds 30 participants and its first come first serve.

The Part-time Women’s Officer is also planning the Union’s Celebrations for the International Women’s Day. Events include a Cinema Outing at Cinema and Co for £2! The film that will be showing is classic ‘Made in Dagenham’. More information for the event coming in the next issue.
