(France) French Government reaches agreement on gay marriage ruling

The French constitutional court has reached a decision to retain the ban on gay marriage in the country. The court, officially known as the Constitutional Council, reached their decision, despite six years of strong outside attempts to alter the system. Figures also revealed that a majority of the French population were in favour of gay marriage being legalised.

WELSH UNIVERSITIES - MIND THE GAP

Welsh universities are facing an £80 million gap in funding compared to English universities.

Announced in light of the university cuts and the increase of fees across Britain, The Higher Education Funding Council for Wales (HEFCW) have reported public funding cuts of 4% this year and £15m in total. An earlier report carried out by the HEFCW found that in 2007/08 the government funding per student was estimated to be £900 less in Wales than in England.
