RESEARCHER GETS 1.2 MILLION

A researcher at Swansea University has been awarded a €1.47 million (approximately £1.2 million) grant by the European Research Council (ERC) to investigate the causes of past climatic change.

A researcher at Swansea University has been awarded a €1.47 million (approximately £1.2 million) grant by the European Research Council (ERC) to investigate the causes of past climatic change.

Dr. Siwan Davies, a senior geography lecturer at the university’s School of the Environment and Society, will put together a team of post-doctoral researchers, PhD students and research technicians to take part in the pioneering research.

It is set in St. Louis, 1903, just before the World’s Fair commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Louisiana Purchase. It stars Judy Garland, in her second great success after The Wizard of Oz (1939), as one of four daughters living in St. Louis.
