Despite being the only candidate in the International Officer election, VRSA Mahaboob Basha faced controversial opposition from RON. Basha won 80% of the vote, with RON claiming the remaining 20%.
Basha believes that the SU’s campaign for RON this year, in which Ron Burgundy pictures were placed on posters, has had a dramatic effect on the result, with some voters from the international community confused by the campaign.
