Union stalwart Ben Lucas leaving

Ben Lucas, the events manager for ENTS, is leaving Swansea after the Easter break.

ENTS works closely with Swansea University to provide students at Swansea University with decent, affordable nights that cater to a wide range of student tastes. Ben came to Swansea to study law seven years ago and worked with ENTS as a technician during his course.

After he had graduated, he started working for ENTS full time and then became the events manager, organising some of the most well known student nights in Swansea including the Porn Star party and the Valentines lock and key night. He has held the position for four years.

Ben will now go on to become the General Trinity College Carmarthen Students Union.

Ben said, 'I've enjoyed my time here in Swansea. We have one of the best student unions in the country and one of the best atmospheres among any student population in the county. I've achieved what I set out to in Swansea and feel confident that I'm leaving a strong, competent team behind.'

Ben feels that his best achivement from his time at Swansea has been the return of the Summer Ball in 2005. He says that "after not having a real Summer Ball during my time as a student reviving the event was always an important objective.

The events in 2005 and 2006 were great but I'm delighted with the line up for 2007 line and can confidently say this will be the best ball yet."
