An inquest is being held into the death of a Swansea University student.

Mitchell Lewis, 21, from Aberdare, was in his second year and studying physics. He was well known in the student community through working in JC’s bar and for the Students’ Union as the Welsh Affairs Officer-elect.

South Wales Police issued a statement saying: “Police in Swansea are investigating the sudden death of a 21-year-old man who died at Morriston Hospital on Thursday morning (23 May 2013).

“There are no indications of suspicious circumstances and next of kin and HM Coroner has been informed.”
