MUSIC artist Professor Green who was due to appear at Swansea Summer Ball has had to pull out after a car accident last Friday.

The rapper was on his way to appear at Hartpury College Summer Ball and as he crossed a road, his leg was crushed between two Mercedes cars.

He was taken to a local hospital by ambulance, tweeting: “I’m making jokes but I’m in all sorts of discomfort… Probable broken leg”

A “surprise replacement” has been confirmed, but students attending this year’s ball won’t find out what the act is until they turn up.

Refunds have been denied from partygoers unhappy with the now mystery line up.

Some students suspect Swansea Student Events of hiding the news until after the ticket deadline passed, with History student Tom Nightingale commenting: “Seems rather underhand of SSE to have the final day sale the day before announcing it.”

Alex McKenzie, students’ union general secretary elect, commented: “Not ideal for those who bought a ticket and now don’t find out a headliner until the day of Ball”

A students’ union spokesperson was contacted for comment.
