ONLINE EXCLUSIVE - Uni helps regenerate historic site

Swansea University and Council have announced a partnership to play an important role in the regeneration of the city’s historic Hafod Copperworks for an initial 12 month period.

The site led to Swansea becoming known as ‘Copperopolis’ for the key role it served in the metals smelting and production in the past, highlighting the areas ‘international importance’ in industry.

Despite disabled access into the building, once inside disabled students have no way of moving between floors without aid.

‘DISGUSTING AND UNACCEPTABLE’ TOILETS

ANGRY students have spoken out about the state of the toilets inside Fulton House.

Users of the toilet have written insults including various sexual slurs, offensive language, inappropriate jokes, attempted advertising encouraging students to call for ‘sexual favours’ and even homophobic graffiti.
