This is your brief look at things happening across Wales over the past 2 weeks! In this issue: an explosion at Port Talbot steelworks, religious prudes hassle Swansea theatre, and a local schoolgirl is left in a critical condition after crash.

Explosion at Port Talbot Steelworks

Four people were hospitalised with burn injuries after an explosion at a steelworks plant in Port Talbot last Tuesday. The explosion, which happened at 2.30 p.m., is the latest incident for the plants list of accidents. Three people died in the same plant in 2001 after a similar explosion. Two people have died since that explosion in separate, grisly incidents. The plant has received a summons from the Health and Safety executive. The case will be heard in December.

Religious prudes hassle Swansea theatre

Religious campaigners have mounted a door protest at the Grand theatre in Swansea. The religious protesters are angry at the opening of 'Puppetry of the Penis', a show which features full frontal male nudity. The upset Christians gave out leaflets and Bible texts after branding the show a disgrace. However a Grand theatre spokesman claimed that the show had featured in the theatre three times in the past five years and sold out on every occasion. The show was performed in Swansea on Monday the 2nd and will be touring Britain until November 18th.

Local schoolgirl in critical condition after crash

A Swansea schoolgirl was rushed to a Cardiff unit after she was involved in a car accident whilst playing in the street. The girl was initially taken to Morrison hospital in Swansea but was then transferred to the paediatric intensive care unit at Cardiff Univeristy. It's the second time in a fortnight that a Swansea child has been transferred to a Cardiff unit after involvement in a traffic accident.
