Westwood and Jules hit Time

On Wednesday 11 October, hundreds of Hip-Hop and RnB fans massed together with dance lovers to celebrate one of the most anticipated face offs that will appear this year. The face off, of course, was that of DJs Tim Westwood and Judge Jules.

Even outside Time & Envy, any passing person could tell that the evening was going to be packed with non stop partying, plenty of booze and a lot of screaming. Naturally, when everyone arrived the queue into Time was reaching around the back of Wetherspoons but didn't last too long as everyone practically ran inside.

It was around midnight that the DJs took their stand and started playing their sets. The complete opposites of each other, in music, appearance and style, Westwood and Jules gave it their all to provide the students of Swansea University a night that they wouldn't soon forget.

Time was bursting with energy and awesome vibes. Judge Jules threw out tunes that got everybody jumping, screaming and sweating... lot. The word sauna is an understatement. Whether the saying 'time flies when you are having fun' is relevant here, or just the fact that Judge Jules had to leave early, he didn't not seem to DJ for very long. But during his time, he was barely visable through the massive wave of hands beckoning him to play louder.

On the other side of the coin, Westwood's mix made the crowd enjoy themselves in more of an underground club scene way. Still blasting out club bangers, the music was much more hiphop and RnB themed turning the crowd into animals. Westwood wouldn't be Westwood without his colourful expressions, such as 'Everybody say F*** Cardiff'. But this was of no consequence as everybody was loving it.

All in all, a fantastic night enjoyed by everyone. There was not a miserable face in sight and the atmosphere was one that will not be forgotten.
