Oasis - 'Stop the Clocks'

Squeezing the best of a twelve year career onto a double CD for a band as allconquering as Oasis must be near impossible. But somehow the band have managed it with conviction. Yes, Be Here Now is completely overlooked, but a trawl through their B-side archives has produced some worthy replacements. The Masterplan, for example, is arguably Oasis' finest moment musically. But you decide, there's plenty here to feast upon.

Incubus - 'Light Grenades'

Light Grenades is almost a mix of Incubus' past three albums as if they have reviewed what they've done before and mixed it together. Fans will certainly appreciate songs such as Pendulous Threads, with its upbeat melancholy alongside the melodic Love Hurts. Brandon Boyd's unique vocals makes this an album that will certainly go down well with old and new fans alike. Ultimately, it is clearly an attempt at a safe seventh album.

Take That - 'Beautiful World'

Having been consigned to the dustbin of music history a decade ago, it's almost unbelievable to consider that the former darlings of teenage girls nationwide are making their return. It's picking up where they left off post-Robbie, with a move towards mature forlorn ballads. If you're expecting a second coming of Everything Changes-esque uber-pop, then you're going to be disappointed. Brace yourselves, the hysterical screams are... *sigh* back for good.
