Red Hot Chilli Peppers - 'Snow (Hey Oh)'

The Chillis have done it again with their new single Snow (Hey Oh), the third single to be taken from their outstanding album Stadium Arcadium. The perfect harmonies intertwine effortlessly with a chilled out melody whilst Anthony Kiedis' raw vocals will take you to another place, making it the perfect track to escape with. It's a track that'll make you feel like you're back at T in the Park, and will surely go down as another timeless classic.

Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly - 'War of the Worlds'

The second single from the widely acclaimed The Chronicles of a Bohemian Teenager showcases Get Cape's diversity. Unlike the title track of the album, War of the Worlds is a distinctly downbeat affair. The band narrowly manage to escape with a whiney sentimental song by diverting attention away from the lyrics with a good tune. Keep yours eyes peeled for Call Me Ishmael, likely to be the third release from the album and an altogether better tune.

The Fratellis - 'Whistle for the Choir'

The Fratellis exploded onto the scene with their instantly likeable furious indie pop, but their latest offering sees them put down the electric guitars for three minutes to bring us more chilled-out pop. Frontman Jon reflects on the unrequited love of last night, crooning "my heart's in broken pieces and my head's a mess". Still catchy, and nice to see them trying something different, this won't be remembered as a classic Fratellis tune.
