NUS and Unipol relaunch survey

On 4 December, the N.U.S. in partnership with the housing charity Unipol, are re-launching its Accommodation Costs Survey in London, to make it a better information tool in the student housing industry.

The upcoming accommodation costs survey aims at defining accommodation costs for students in the UK, as well as other related information including length of tenancy, required deposit levels and student feedback. All types of accommodation will be covered, from institutional residences provided by universities, private halls of residence and houses rented from the private sector.

A presentation of the results will be followed by a panel debate and a question and answer session. Attending will be Boris Johnson, Shadow Minister for Higher Education, Bill Rammell, Higher Education Minister, Professor Claire Callender of London South Bank University, the Vice President of Welfare for NUS, Veronica King, and the Chief Executive of Unipol Student homes, Martin Blakey.

Uinpol provides national support and every year help around twenty thousand students find somewhere to live.
