Boom Boom Boom Boom!!!

Fresher's Ball 2006 returned to Time Envy, seeing many of the new arrivals, as well as plenty of old hands, donning their old school uniforms for some old-school disco

Well, what exactly can I say to sum up this night? It's held annually for freshers week and promises to bring back out the naughty school child in you but this year's was just amazing!

Last year, the event was good but the general feeling was that Chesney Hawks was rather a let down. This year however, Oh My God!! Whoever was lucky enough to get tickets will tell you that this night was just awesome - if they are brave enough to admit to that fact that they danced this asses off to The Vengaboys that is! Yes they are cheesy but they made for an electric and ecstatic atmosphere that will be hard to beat.

The sight of every single person (muscley sporty guys included!) on the dance floor in Time, all in synch with each other, to some of the cheesiest hits of our teenage years, was one which I doubt I'll ever forget. No one can deny that they were singing along to every word and loving every minute their performance. Hits like 'We're going to Ibiza', 'The Vengabus is coming' and 'Boom boom boom boom!' were blasting throughout Time with everyone dancing along. One of The Vengaboys was dressed up in a sailor's outfit with the other dressed as a cowboy - not going with the theme of the school disco but still classic!

Infernal were there also singing their 'hits'- aka 'Paris to Berlin' - and their act too was fantastic, only adding to the cracking mood in Time that night.

With us lot dressed in our school uniforms - shirts, ties, pop socks, and pig tails/gelled hair, It brought some memories of those not-toolong- ago school days. Hopefully the night will have provoked more thrilling memories than those of classrooms, detention and school dinners!

Everyone had made an effort to dig out their uniform attire and everyone looked like sexy school kids. Some people chose not to re-live their school days by taking a different spin on the theme of 'school disco', donning graduate gowns and mortar boards, while others played teachers/lecturers for the night!

It was my third school disco and by far the best! What a way to end my run of this event!! So here are the photos of that awesome night - not as cringe-worthy as those actual school photos that will forever be displayed proudly on our parents' wall, but ones which will make you break out into a huge grin when you see them and remember what a night it was...
