This weeks sports news in bite sized pieces.

Petr Cech is making good progress and has been transferred to a hospital nearer his home after the collision with Reading centreforward and the resulting skull surgery.

Aston Villa are looking for a new stadium sponsor. The ground has been known as Villa Park since 1897 but a deal could raise tens of millions of pounds for Martin O'Neil's side.

Theo Walcott has finally had a premiership start, he did not fare too badly either, creating a host of chances. This is after his impressive game for the England under 21s where he scored twice to beat Germany 2-0 and put the side into the European under 21 Championships.

The debate on Andy Farrell and his best position rages on. He has now admitted himself that he is unsure on his best position in the union game after playing 30 minutes at inside centre for Saracens A side.

Justin Marshall and Ronan O'Gara have cast doubt on the quality of the Guiness Premiership. O'Gara has claimed that English rugby is overhyped and that some of it's players are overrated.

Micheal Schumacher- hero or villain? Jackie Stewart has now come out and claimed Schumacher is great not because of the seven titles he won but because he has made Ferrari into one of the greatest racing sides in the world.

The seven times world surfing champion, Kelly Slater, has hinted that he wants to retire at the end of this season.
