Alternative Valentines Day for Singles
- Watch every romcom you own while playing this issue's drinking game.
- Ring your ex and attempt to make fun of them for being single. When you find them in a happy couple, repeat number one.
- Hit the clubs, celebrating single life. After all who wants to be tied down at our age?
- Shopping trip! Buy all the things that your boyfriend/girlfriend wouldn't have even thought of buying you for Valentines.
- Party! Invite all your single friends over, tell them to bring their single friends too.
- Go on a mini break. Ever been to Ireland? If not now's your chance to get away from all those slushy couples.
- Go out for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Eat what you like, you're paying!
- Cook your favourite meal and sit in with a nice glass of wine. Very Bridget Jones, but still very cool.
- Dress up as your favourite hero and terrorise Wind Street.
- Sleep, miss out on the clichéd, over sentimentalised holiday based on a guy who died. He didn't even die for love, money or any of the good things.
Alternative Valentines Day for Couples
- Visit a haunted castle, see who leaves the other there first.
- Visit any museum, the endless shelves of broken pottery should kill all passion on Valentines.
- Go to all your lectures together, see if you still love them when you realise how boring the subject matter is.
- Try a double date for a big meal. Making plans together makes a first Valentine's Day so much easier to deal with. Just check what the other person has bought their partner or your bent up card and box of milk tray could look bad in comparison to a health spa pass or fav footy t-shirt.
- Go Zorbing! If you don't know what this is, seriously, find out!
- Desert hop around town, fancy the ice cream in Frankie and Bennys but she wants the double chocolate thingy from TGI's no problem! No fights, the ideal valentines.
- Have a party where no one is allowed to mention Valentine's Day. Couples only.
- Do something together that you wouldn't be able to do alone. Such as rock climbing, or surfing, etc... doing it together shows trust and acceptance of your partner's hobby.
- Dress up for dinner. No not in the traditional way, but as your partner's favourite...
- Sleep. See above for why.
Love song drinking game
- Every time 'love' is mentioned, take a drink.
- Every time 'forever' is mentioned, fill your glass.
- Every time 'broken heart' iis sung try to steal someone's drink.
- Every time the weather is mentioned, down your drink.
- Every time the lyrics remind you directly of sex, take a drink.
- If 'beautiful' is sung drink direct from the bottle.
