Leisure of the Lost Art

The public theology lecture series will continue on Monday 13 February with Brother Patrick Moore FSC, a scholar in Residence at Sarum College in Salisbury, delivering a lecture on 'Leisure- the Lost Art' at 7 p.m. in the James Callaghan Building.

Previous theology lectures at Swansea University have proved very popular amongst students and the general public and the next one is hoping to continue this success.

Brother Patrick has been a member of De La Salle Christian Brothers for many years and has taught in London and Cambridge, as well as conducting scholar work in Salisbury and lecturing on spirituality. The lecture will deal with the issue of integration of work and leisure in our spiritual life and trying to balance them as well as commenting on the importance of having leisure in our lives.

The Reverend Nigel John said that, "it is going to be of great interest, not just for the Christian tradition but for people exploring faith, whatever the capacity.

"Brother Patrick is a person of great wisdom and humour, and is intellectual and refreshing. He is scholarly, down to earth and very witty and people will get a lot out of going to the lecture."
