Fflam finally lit?
The first real rumours as to who may be playing the first Fflam festival have started to emerge, months after the initial announcement of the festival was made.
The acts currently touted are Manic Street Preachers, Snow Patrol and The Prodigy as the headliners, with Feeder also mentioned as taking part.
The inaugral Fflam festival will be held in Singleton Park in Swansea over the weekend of 13-15 July.
Talking of the Manics...
...the Welsh rockers have announced a massive UK tour that will see them play over 20 dates across Britain, including two dates in the other Welsh city in May. The tour will coincide with the release of their eighth studio album, Send Away The Tigers.
Monkeys name new LP
Last year's favourite sons, Arctic Monkeys, have announced details of their second album. that is expected to be released in April.
Titled Favourite Worst Nightmare, the band have a lot to live up to after the huge success of last year's debut album. The twelve-track LP is pencilled in for release on 23 April.
Who? What? Where?
Cult rock icons, The Who, are coming to Swansea this summer to play a date at the city's Liberty Stadium as part of their lengthy European Tour.
The last time The Who played in Swansea - at the Vetch Field, it was the last paid-for UK concert by the band before the death of Keith Moon in 1976. For more on this story, visit the Waterfront website.
The Jam reform but...
... they're going to do so without talisman Paul Weller! Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler will be heading out on tour around Britain in May.
