News in brief from around the world. In this issue: The famous Sudan goat has died, Iran continues a crackdown on immoral behaviour and a Boeing 736 is left blocking a busy road in Mumbai.

Famous Sudan goat dies

A goat made famous in the Sudan has died, only months after it was married to a man as punishment. Local elders ordered the man to marry the goat after he was discovered having sex with with the goat, later called Rose. The goat is believed to have died after swallowing a plastic bag containing scraps of food on the streets of Juba.

Iran Morals Crackdown

In the continuing crackdown on immoral behaviour the Iranian Telecommunications Ministry has stated that they will begin filtering video and audio messages that do not meet their standards when sent via mobile phone. This builds on the already ongoing action over inappropriately dress woman, which saw 1600 people cauttioned in recent weeks.

Boeing 737 Stuck In Traffic

The residents of Mumbai have a rather different type of traffic congestion after the fuselage of a Boeing 737 has been left in the middle of a busy road for five days. The offending plane was being transferred to a training facility when the driver found himself stuck after reaching an overpass which was too low for the cargo. It is unknown when the plane will be moved.

Disney Channel Porn Mix Up

American children and parents received a shock when at around 9:30am on Tuesday the American TV channel accidentally ran hardcore porn in place Handy Manny, a cartoon program for children. Needless to say there were some very upset parents and the cable company has launched an investigation into the slip up.

Alan Johnston support continues

The UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has added his name to the list of people calling for the immediate release of the BBC's Gaza correspondent. This follows a resolution from the members of the European parliament which also called for his release Alan has now been missing without any direct contact for over seven weeks.

Queen on state visit to Virginia

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh arrived yesterday in the first state visit to America by the Queen in over 16 years. The royal couple will be visiting a host of different places including the Jamestown settlement, the USS Wisconsin, as well as the Kentucky Derby. Later in the trip, President Bush will entertain the Royals for two days, including a NASA visit.
