Spiderman 3

Review: Spiderman 3

14th May 2007

In the third instalment of Spiderman, Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) finally finds the balance between his love for M.J. (Kirsten Dunst) and his devotion to, and duties as, a web-slinging superhero.

But, as Spiderman 3 is an action packed fantasy movie, we all know there's no chance of that lasting.

Peter is forced to choose between the seductive power of his new, darker suit and the compassionate hero he used to be. As well as overcoming his personal demons Peter must face two of the most-feared villains to save the one she loves.

Although the trailer is stunning, with its extravagant special effects, the story does not promise anything new. Spiderman goes through a change, the love of his life gets into almost unsolvable trouble and there is another super-evil darkness to face. But you know the ending already: Spiderman will save the day.

To be honest, we weren't really expecting Spiderman 3 to be so different from the last ones. All audiences want is a thrilling superhero adventure, and that's what they're pretty much guaranteed to get.
