FFLAM PUT OUT?

05th July 2007

The inaugral Fflam festival, due to be held in Singleton Park between 13-15 July, will not be going ahead according to various rumours circulating on the internet. It appears that the unusually wet weather that has affected Britain over the past month is responsible for the decision to pull the plug on the event.

Whilst there has been no official announcement from the organisers, a statement posted on the Dropkick Murphy's official website on 4 July appeared to confirm the fears of ticket holders, claiming that the organisers had informed the band that the event will not be taking place.

There is, however, confusion as to whether the festival has been either postponed or cancelled, with no official announcement having been made. The event has been plagued with controversy since it was announced late last year, following protests from local residents and the inability to provide camping facilities.

Waterfront Online will of course bring you any further developments as we receive them.
