It's Time To Shop In Topshop
08th October 2007
On the 9th and 10th of October, Topshop are hosting their 'Students Shop!' nights. An occasion to spend yet more of that student loan, but with a 20% discount it definitely is a good reason to. As well as the 20% discount, students will also receive a goody bag and drinks. The event teams up with Red Bull so expect high-powered, caffeine fuelled shopping. If you RSVP online there is a chance to win a £1,000 shopping spree.
The hugely popular event starts at 6.30pm and will end at 9.30pm. With large numbers expected it is a good idea to get there early. We offer this advice: get your usual size and if the changing room queue is very long, as expected, then buy it without trying it on. The usual 28 day returns policy still applies so you can always take it back. Similarly, go into Topshop the day before or during the actual day, try things on and then at 6.30pm you'll know exactly what you want.
Topshop realise that even though they can't really afford to, students love to shop. This is why students get a 10% discount at Topshop all year around. This applies to the Topshop website too. Just always remember to bring your student ID with you. Whilst the event is only at Topshop, Topman are currently having a 15% special discount price. This will finish on the 16th October.
Topshop is just one of many shops which offer a student discount. Remember to take your student ID with you and the NUS Extra card is a worthwhile investment It's Time To Shop In Topshop in order to gain even more offers and chances to receive discounts.
Trends appearing this season are the fitted blazer, frilled shirts, skinny cords and, of course, the chunky heels. The Kate Moss collection is still going strong with many new additions.
Dresses are going to keep making an appearance as we head into autumn and they can be teamed with leggings as well as coloured and patterned tights. Boots are a great fashion staple and they come in all different styles and colours.
A key word is 'fitted'. Think a slim silhouette with straight lines. Add a scarf to skinny jeans and a belted cardigan and you've got it in one. Keep colours earthy and winter woollies make great statement pieces, perfect for this cold Welsh weather. Happy shopping!
