FFLAM PUT RIGHT OUT

Fflam - a new festival planned to be held in Singleton Park, Swansea but postponed due to 'bad weather' - has now been cancelled in a statement released on 2 August. The festival, which was due to be headlined by acts such as Manic Street Preachers, Placebo and Keane, was due to be held on the weekend of 13-15 July this year, but was initially postponed with organisers blaming torrential downpours making the festival site unusable.

In their statement, the organisers said, "Unfortuantely, we cannot find a date that suits all parties and due to artist availability, we are not in a position to deliver the brilliant line up of bands we always intended if we go ahead."

For those who retained their tickets in light of the postponements, refunds are available from the point of purchase. Organisers are confident that Fflam 2008 will go ahead and will be successful, but on the basis of this year's debacle, few music-lovers can be holding their breath.
