Shrek the Third
Shrek the Third

Review: Shrek the Third

14th May 2007

He's back: the Wayne Rooney looking green monster and his band of merry talking animals. This time the pop culture joke machine has been working over time and even found time to churn out a character for Mr. JT himself, Justin Timberlake. How hip.

Following on where the last kiddie- loved/adult-tolerated installment left off, we find the loving couple faced with ruling the roost of Far Far Away when Fiona's father, now in frog form, croaks...oh I crack me up. That's all well and good but Shrek isn't sure he is up to the task and attempts to find the real heir to the throne to save himself the bother.

A quick set up, and then cue laborious quest followed by joke after joke and smug little asides from the over-paid voice cast. Much of the same I assume. Bring on Shrek 4 featuring Nelly Furtado and Timbaland...kidding.
