Back in Black: Summer Ball 2007
Summer Ball 2007: Back in Black
14th May 2007
After last year's flirtation with a beach theme we return to the black-tie and dress format of two years ago and despite the posh garb the Summer Ball looks set to be a raucous evening of exciting live music and general revelry. Boasting one of the best line-ups in years and also 'all the fun of the fair' expect your ticket to let you into one hell of an evening.
On the main stage will be Wales' own The Automatic, on the back of their meteoric rise into ears everywhere expect the quartet to bring a party mood with their stomping pop-rock anthems. For those of you seeking an altogether more choreographed spectacle, Liberty X will be starring earlier in the evening and look set to get plenty of feet dancing. If you fancy something heavier than you be sure to introduce yourself to the hypnotic sounds of Pendulum, when their drum'n'bass tinged DJ set fully gets the crowd going.
Down the card the singer songstress Pippa Rogers will be crooning out some of her folksy hits early in the evening and relative unknowns Viva Machine will be looking to stamp themselves on the musical map with their set. Be prepared for countless mini-James Bond re-enactments with boys in suits hurtling into each other's dodgems. All in all it looks like a very good end of year celebration mixing music, fair rides and a massive party atmosphere.
