Road trip: Llandovery

The car is the greatest innovation in personal transport since the saddle. It allows great freedom to those fortunate enough, or should I say with enough fortune, to own one. On about a fiver's worth of petrol you can go about 30 miles.

In this issue Motorfront introduces you to Llandovery, a quaint town on the A40. It has several tea houses and some nice fish-and-chip shops, and yes fellow students there are some good pubs (don't drink and drive!). There is also a whopping great castle in the middle of town in the middle of the car park, its vantage point allows panoramic views of the town and surrounding country side. For the journey back through the Brecon Beacons. The many beauty spots, including waterfalls, valleys and views, make for a nice drive and a peaceful one at that.
