Amy's Magic Quest: Blackpages

29th January 2007

Originally a five-piece, Blackpages have recently been touring as a two-piece acoustic act after admitting to rhythmic problems within the original lineup, clashing with frontman Andy Morse's softer melodies.

Whilst touring the acoustic act, however, this problem disappears and they're getting the chance to exhibit all new songs that truly showcases Morse's talent. Highlights of the set include the beautifully melodic 'Faker' and 'Tied Up'.

Signed to indie label Baseline records, Blackpages set themselves apart from other artists from South Wales by managing to remain lyrically fluent, yet retaining a maturity that sets themselves apart from the more indie-punk/metal style that seems to be infiltrating the younger artists from the area.

Playing The Chattery in Uplands on February 17, their acoustic-indie style should expect to attract an eclectic fanbase with their multi-faceted sound.
