BANG BANG, IT'S 2007!
29th January 2007
The FRONT music team take a look at what is on the horizon for 2007.
LOS CAMPESINOS!
Mesmerising band from the other Welsh city who are starting to receive wider attention after taking the local scene by storm. Expect yet more attention lavished upon this intellectual, inventive septet in 2007.
VIBRATION WHITE FINGER
One of the most original sounds around; VWF are another seven-piece from down the M4 who are on the verge of superstardom special with the 2007 release of their debut album.
MANIC STREET PREACHERS
Fresh from the critical success of last year's solo albums, the Manics reunite for their eighth studio album, Send Away The Tigers, which promises to be an absolute belter as the Welsh band rediscover their anger.
BONNET DE DOUCHE, RODNEY
Experimental, avant-garde seventeen- piece electo-funk outfit still very much in the recruitment phase, but promise to provide the greatest enduring musical legacy since Spandau Ballet went tits up.
KAISER CHIEFS
Leading the pack of bands who face the 'difficult second album' in 2007, the Leeds-based rioters return with Yours Truly, Angry Mob in late February hoping to build upon the massive success of 2005's Employment.
GUNS 'N' ROSES
You'd be foolish to put your money on it, but again we're led to believe that Chinese Democracy is about to see the light of day. Having cost $15m to make, it better be worth it!
