You'd be surprised that this simple task is exempt from most people's skills, So in four simple steps this is how to do it. Drive to the nearest garage where you'll need to drive to a garage with an air machine.

1. You MUST check the handbook. This tells you, how many PSI (Pound forces per Square Inch) to put in your tyres. If you don't have a handbook, try the internet.
2. After finding out the pressure, set the number on the machine using +/-. For example, if it is 26, set the pump to 26.
3. Remove the dust cap from the valve on the tyre and push the end of the hose gently over it. The air will start going in the tyres. When the tyre has reached the correct pressure, the machine will flash 'END' on the screen.
4. Remove the hose from the valve and replace the dust cap. Repeat for the other tyres.

Hint: Pressures can be more on the front than on the back, so do check. Also, when your car is full, the pressures increase. Don't forget, properly inflated tyres mean better fuel consumption.
