National Student Survey 2007

29th January 2007

The National Student Survey 2007 has been launched at Swansea University. This survey has been praised highly by the NUS as an opportunity to influence and better your university and higher education for the future.

The survey allows students to give opinions on the quality of their course and university. The results will later be available to inform future students and help them with their decision making as they begin choosing what and where they would like to study. The institutions and student unions will also be given the feedback so they can improve what is offered.

It is now the third year the survey is being conducted, following the success of the NSS in 2005 and 2006. Both surveys received responses from more than 320,000 students (58%) of eligible students to date.

Wes Streeting, Vice President of Education for the NUS says, "The National Student Survey gives final year students a unique opportunity to inform future students about the quality of their student experience."

If you are a final year undergraduate student, you will be initially contacted by email by independent research company Ipson MORI, and then invited to fill out the survey online.

"I hope that finalists will take a few minutes to share their experience with the next generation of students," explains Streeting.

It takes only five minutes to fill out the NSS, so go to www.studentsurvey.com and help future students make the right decision for their future.
