ONCE again the cheerleaders will provide the half-time show, however this time round it will be on the hallowed turf of the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.

"It is a daunting prospect but it should be good," said a rather excited cheerleadering President, Danielle Phillips.

"Our confidence is growing and we just want to go out and enjoy it."

COUNTDOWN TO VARSITY 2011 BEGINS IN EARNEST

THE COUNTDOWN to Varsity 2011 is now well underway as the biggest sporting event of the academic year heads to the home of Welsh rugby.

The showpiece occasion will be played at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on Wednesday, March 30th as Swansea look to defend their title in the events 15th anniversary.

THE COUNTDOWN to Varsity 2011 is now well underway as the biggest sporting event of the academic year heads to the home of Welsh rugby.

The showpiece occasion will be played at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on Wednesday, March 30th as Swansea look to defend their title in the events 15th anniversary.

WRU National Development Manager Jason Lewis said: “Our universities are arguably some of our biggest rugby clubs in Wales in terms of the number of teams they put out on a weekly basis.”
