Cymru v. Lloegr / Wales v. England

Cymru v. Lloegr

O'r diwedd mae Cymru wedi ennill gem a nid unrhyw gem ond Y gem! Hynny yw rydym ni fel gwlad wedi ennill yn erbyn yr hen elyn, y Saeson. I fi yn bersonol mae e'n rhyddhad enfawr gan taw Saes yw'n sboner i a mae e wedi bod yn fy mhoeni i cymaint dros i'r wythnosau dwetha, ond nawr y mae'r mwydyn wedi troi a'n nhro i yw e! Cymru am byth!

Roedd y gem ei hun yn gem arbennig o gyffrous. Roedden i ddim yn gallu credu'r peth pan ar ol dim ond rhyw dwy funud o chwarae fe aeth Cymru ar y blaen gyda cais wrth James Hook a oedd yn chwarae yn y crys 10, yna rhyw ddeuddeg munud wedyn fe wnaeth Chris Horsman wneud cais, yr ail gais i Gymru. Wedi cwarter awr o chwarae roedd Cymru ar y blaen gyda 15 pwynt i 0. Er hyn erbyn hanner amser roedd y bwlch wedi cau i 18-15 i ni.

Wedi hanner amser fe ddaeth y gem hyd yn oed yn agosach gyda'r ddwy ochr yn chwarae am bopeth a'r sgor yn gyfartal. Erbyn cwarter olaf y gem yr oedd Cymru yn ol yn chwarae mor dda ag y gwnaethon nhw yng ngwarter cyntaf y gem. A gyda Hook yn cicio Cymru i ennill gem o'r diwedd yn nghystadleuaeth y chwe gwlad fe ddechreuodd cenedl i ddathlu. Wedi'r cyfan yn ol Stereophonics 'As long as we beat the English, we don't care,' y gwir? Wel, ie!

Wales v. England

At last Wales have won a game, and not just any game but THE game. That is we beat the English. To me personally this is a huge relief as I have an (extremely disappointed) English boyfriend who for the last few weeks has been teasing me unmercifully but now, thank goodness the worm has turned. Wales forever!

The game itself was an exciting match. I couldn't believe it when after only two minutes Wales had points on the board with a try from James Hook, who was finally wearing the number ten shirt. Then around twelve minutes later Wales followed up with a second try by Chris Horsman. After only quarter of an hour of play Wales were 15-0 up. Although Wales started off so spectacularly the next few minutes didn't go quite as well as we went off the field at half time although still winning with a much smaller gap in the score.

After half time the game got even tighter as Flood kicked the game to a draw. But then during the last quarter of the game Wales again picked up the pace as they had in the first quarter and Hook brought the game to a close with a couple of penalties and a drop goal. After this first win of the six nations tournament a nation began to celebrate. After all according to Stereophonics 'As long as we beat the English, we don't care,' the truth? Well, yes it is!
