Interview: Chugga Jones - Education Officer Elect

Stuart 'Chugga' Jones has secured a second term as Education Officer, beating his only competitor Chris Randall by over a thousand votes, proving that he still has the drive and ideas to meet student needs.
He hopes to build on the successes of his first term whilst bringing some fresh ideas to the role, including the apparently popular idea of showing 'Neighbours' in JCs and Woodys!
Despite such an overwhelming victory, he remains remarkably down-to-earth about it saying "From the beginning of the campaign we never took anything for granted... We respected Chris fully."
After a tiring but enjoyable week of hard campaigning, Chugga is obviously thrilled with the result, saying "It feels awesome! It was good last year but it seems to have got better again."
Asked what his priorities for the coming year are, Chugga immediately replied with the campaign for 24 hour opening for the library, ensuring a trial period over the summer, and a second hand bookshop, along with the continuing development of the course representatives system.
Chugga thanked his team, "especially George" (his guitar player!) and "everyone who voted for me... the old voters for restoring confidence in me and obviously all the new freshers."
After the celebrations in DV8 tonight - "a few beverages" in his own words, and a couple of days to catch up on his sleep, I'm sure Chugga will make his second term as enjoyable as his first.
