Interview: Bola Ogundeji (International Officer Candidate)

Bola Ogundeji is nervously sipping his drink when Waterfront Online catch up with him in the rapidly filling DV8. Clearly feeling the weight of the election, he knows that this election will be close for him and his opposition - no one person has a clear advantage, and the record voter turnout coupled with the low number of counters has resulted in an agonising wait for the candidates.

Hoping to become a "catch-all candidate" with a broad set of policies, he hopes to stamp out racism through the promotion of sports - integrating more international students into the AU using a policy he calls "Integration through sport", he hopes to smash racism, as he believes that "everything is related, everything is linked".

As there are more international students at Swansea than there are students studying from home, this position is key. This election, notable because of its high turnout, has certainly made an impression on Bola - he is deeply impressed by the student population and its lack of apathy, and is gushing in his praise of his campaign team, his friends, and most importantly for him, his voters. Wishing his opposition all the best, Waterfront Online leaves him to his drink. It's going to be a long night for everyone.
