Interview: Celine Masse (International Officer Candidate)

Wearing a green fuzzy hat with more personality than most of the Waterfront staff combined, Celine Masse seemed to be enjoying herself in DV8 when Waterfront Online took her aside for an interview. The favourite according to some after the hustings she seemed to be pretty optimistic in her view of the proceedings so far.

Having said this, she was happy with her speech but didn't find it as impressive as Waterfront found it. When told that Kylie Bartelli, last years International Officer, was ahead in the exit polls conducted by Xtreme radio she didn't seem at all nervous, stating that she felt that her friends and the electorate were supporting her. Although "mentally prepared to lose" she feels that she has a "pretty good" chance of winning.

Smiling, and talking with a noticeable French accent she says that her campaign was organised and spontaneous, and she did her best to have some fun out of it. Of her manifesto promises she believes that availability twenty four hours a day seven days a week and the creation of community are her two most important aims. She believes that as an international student herself it gives her a better perspective of what International Students want, as she keeps in touch with them and has friends from every country.
